Bald Statements Resource Pack
Client: Christian Education
Brief: Christian Education was looking to create a resource pack to help deal with loss, grief and change. This teaching and learning pack explores a series of eight sculptures made by Jean Parker which deal with personal loss and the grief process.
Deliverables: Book, Interactive CD-ROM, Postcards, Picture Cards, Postcard Packaging
Approach: As the subject discussed in the resource cover sensitive issues the design needed to be subtle and informative for people to make the most of the material available. The CD-Rom contains video footage from the artist explaining the processes she went through with her own loss and grief. Also the CD-Rom has a compare system for the user to make comparisons between the various sculptures Jean Parker produced.
Magazine Review: “I was so impressed by the quality of the material, the thoughtfulness of its presentation … Over the years I have worked a lot with bereavement and grief, both with clients and in a training role with bereavement visitors. This pack would have been such a powerful resource for all that work, as well as my own journeying through loss, and I know I will make extensive use of it in the future.”
