RE Today Magazine

RE Today Magazine

Client: RE Today Magazine

Brief:Christian Education were looking to re-design the overall look and feel of their termly magazine for RE teachers. The magazine had being using the same style for a good number of years and needed to be refreshed. The client decided there was a need to restructure the magazines content at the same time.

Deliverables: 64 page termly magazine.

Approach: It was identified that the magazine has three types of reader; one who reads the magazine from cover to cover, one who is selective in the articles they choose to read and finally the reader who flicks through and settles on the most appropriate article. To cater for the different types of reader, it is important for them to know where they are, know how to get there and be a practical resource tool for them to refer back to. We believed it would be useful to introduce a colour-coded system to relate to the main sections the magazine had.

Also we felt it was important to make the typography quite structured and user-friendly. Over the first few issues we were able to develop some common styles and systems that could be applied throughout each issue of the magazine.

Client Testimonial: "We have worked with the twelve20 team on many different projects and been delighted with their levels of service from the start, particularly in the responsive relationship that we have built up between us, and their turn-around times."
